This unique set of carvings seemingly done by the same craftsmen during a short period, they seem to depict aspects and values of every day life. They show scenes with both a sense of humour and teachings of moral importance especially from the view of the Catholic Church. This stunning portrait is of a Shepherd both with his staff, and bending down to pat his little dog that seems to respond to the patting with clear affection to its master. This Shepherd and his dog clearly have affection towards each other and have a good working relationship. Taken directly from the original carving this reproduction captures all the fine detail produced by the master craftsmen that carved the original.
