Mary and Christ roof boss. Chester Cathedral, Lady Chapel. c.1270. Mary, the Mother of God, with the Holy Child on her knee, is flanked by two angels swinging censers. Carved during the abbacy of Simon de Whitchurch (1265-1291) this extremely detailed piece of carving is a particularly fine example of graceful 13th century work. Hand Crafted in the UK.
