One of the major attractions at Canterbury Cathedral was the ‘corona’ reliquary, housed in the Corona Chapel, and in which the severed crown of Saint Thomas Becket’s skull was kept. This magnificent object took the form of a life sized golden jewel encrusted and mitered head. This reliquary was the second most important item to be seen at Canterbury and badges commemorating it seem to have been very popular.
